Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) Singapore

The Singaporean government is making it easier to travel for those who are vaccinated. The city-state launched the first quarantine-free, Vaccinated Traveller Lanes (VTL) on Thursday 26th Aug 2021. These special lanes will facilitate fully vaccinated travellers from Germany and Brunei to enter Singapore without serving a stay home notice. Border restrictions with Hong Kong and Macao will also be eased, as eligible visitors take a COVID-19 test on arrival instead of having to serve a stay home notice in Singapore.

Latest Announcement on 8th October 2021, Singapore and South Korea have agreed to launch vaccinated travel lanes (VTL) starting from 15th Nov 2021. ( Refer to the Press Release by Ministry of Transport)

9th October 2021
From 19th Oct, fully vaccinated travellers from Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States will be able to enter Singapore under this arrangement, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) announced on Saturday (Oct 9).

26th October 2021
From 8th November, travellers from Australia and Switzerland may enter Singapore under the VTL.

8th November 2021
From 29th November, travellers from Malaysia, Sweden and Finland may enter Singapore under the VTL.

24th November 2021
From 29th November, travellers from India and Indonesia may enter Singapore under the VTL.
From 6th December, travellers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) may enter Singapore under the VTL.

26th November 2021
From 14th December, travellers from Thailand may enter Singapore under the VTL.

From 16th December, travellers from Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkey may enter Singapore under the VTL.

16th February 2022

From 25th February, travellers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Hong Kong may enter Singapore under VTL.

From 4th March, travellers from Israel and the Philippines may enter Singapore under VTL

This will take the total number of air VTLs announced so far to 30 countries.

What is Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) ?

This is a newly created arrangement where fully vaccinated travellers departing from Germany or Brunei Darussalam may enter Singapore without the need to serve Stay-Home Notice (SHN). The new Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) arrangement will start on 8 September 2021. Before travelling, they will need to apply for Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP).

What is Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP)?

Travellers who wish to enter Singapore via VTL, will need to apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP). VTP allows vaccinated travellers who are short-term visitors (including business and official travellers), or holders of Long-Term Passes (i.e. Long-Term Visit Pass, Student’s Pass, Work Pass or Dependant’s Pass) to seek entry into Singapore.
