Where is Legoland Malaysia?

Legoland Malaysia Resort is located at Iskandar Puteri (previously known as Nusajaya), about 30 minutes west of Johor Bahru. The correct address should be No. 7, Persiaran Medini Utara 3, Bandar, 79250 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia – be sure to double-check the location pin’s address because there might be multiple pins on Google Maps or Apple Maps for example.

Now let’s talk about the different modes of transport you could take, and their distinct pros and cons.

Bus - Kuala Lumpur to Legoland

Bus routes are quite complex and time-consuming. For your convenience, we’ll only suggest the simplest routes because other routes require too many exchanges for the trip to still remain fun for everyone, especially when travelling with kids and bags of luggage.

For your peace of mind, here they are:

(CWL 30) Swiss-Garden Residences to Legoland Malaysia Resort

There will only be one bus operator, Causeway Link, that will take you directly to Legoland Resort Malaysia and back – bus number CWL 30 which is why some Malaysians refer to this bus as the Legoland Malaysia bus.

Pros:
  • You’ll arrive near the opening time at Legoland
  • Only one bus the entire journey
  • The pickup point is in central KL
Cons:
  • Only one pickup time per day – if you miss the bus, that’s it, folks.
  • This bus only operates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • No cheaper pricing for children
  • Will be difficult to book bus tickets to sit together during peak season.
Operating times:
  • Friday to Sunday ONLY
  • Departure time from Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang to Legoland – 7.00AM
  • Departure time from Legoland Parking Zone 1 & 2 to Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang – 6.30 PM
Bus Fare:
  • Adult – RM57 (approx SGD17)
  • Children – RM57 (approx SGD17)
Travel time:
  • The trip duration is estimated at around 3 hours and 30 mins depending on traffic conditions

It’s a convenient option for a weekend trip especially if you’re travelling light since it’s only one bus to and fro from the same pick-up point. But the fixed bus hours can be a dealbreaker if you want flexibility for time to arrive and leave.

Public Bus - Singapore to Legoland

For those aiming to take the public bus, there is only one Singapore bus route we’d recommend reason being there are not too many bus stops or exchanges. The easiest will still be the tour bus/coach services, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.

Public Bus

Pro
  • The cheapest way to get to Legoland Malaysia from Singapore (we also like to save money)
  • No pre-booking required
  • Can be relatively fast if you are an experienced bus user to travel between Singapore and Johor
Cons
  • May be crowded as you are not able to pre-book your bus ticket
  • No direct transfers, so you will spend some time waiting for an exchange.
  • You will have to disembark with all your luggage twice to clear customs.

    Travel time:

    • To Legoland – 1.5 Hours to 2 hours
    • Returning from Legoland – 1.5 hours to 2 hours

This may vary during the major holidays in Malaysia like Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and year-end Christmas break where some jams can get as bad as 4-5 hours.

Thus if you are taking the bus/coach to Legoland, we’d recommend avoiding peak periods to avoid cranky kids.

    Private Transportation – Limousine

From Kuala Lumpur, it should take you roughly 4 hours by car in regular traffic. Maybe up to 6-hours if you stop for breaks along the way. The best route would probably be from the North-South Highway into the Coastal Highway.

If you’re driving from Johor Bahru itself, then you could hop on the Coastal Highway already.

For those driving from Singapore, you can travel via Tuas Second Link or Woodland Checkpoint to reach Legoland. The trip should take between 1.5 hours to 2 hours depending on traffic.
